Mr. Carrot Head Riding A French Chicken

Inspired by a fellow blogger on Expressions of my life – An evolution of art.

I’d like to thank Mr. Prewitt for his inspiring post that lead me to explore my free-handed colored pencil style!

I had a ton of fun with this drawing! More so than usual, actually, and I think it’s mostly because I was not simply copying something that has already been done, but rather creating something completely new. It’s a very satisfying feeling to know that my work is original this time around instead of another Winnie the Pooh character drawing (though I still adore Winnie the Pooh and will continue to draw them because they’re cute!).

Anyways, this Mr. Carrot Head Riding A French Chicken took a few hours to complete (about 4 I’m estimating) and I might just continue to draw characters like Mr. Carrot Head in the same style and see where it leads me! I’m excited, it’s not often I find this kind of inspiration and then have the artistic ability and willpower to get it looking good on paper.

So I guess this means the fan art may be done for now, and with no Sailor Moon drawings to show from it. Though this may be a new beginning, at least in one of my empty sketchbooks 🙂
